(lot of 3) Southwest sterling silver and azurite bolo ties, silver tips, braided black leather cord, including: (1) ornament stamped sterling/ WC, bolo ornament only: approx 2 3/8"h, 2 1/8"w, (1) Roger Mathews (Wichita, Kansas, 20th c.), ornament stamped Mathews/ sterling, bolo ornament only: approx 2.25"h, 1.5"w, (1) ornament stamped sterling/ AIS, bolo ornament only: approx 1.75"h, 1.25"w; 135.3 grams total (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
