(lot of 2) French Napoleon III period Boulle work bracket clock and wall bracket, late 19th c., including: (1) clock, with figural gilt metal topper modeled as a winged angel, over glazed case with central repousse gilt metal dial, porcelain Roman numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement marked Medaille D'Argent Vincenti, rising on molded feet, accompanied by Apollo mask pendulum, loss to angel's horn, broken suspension spring, not currently operational, pendulum is possibly unassociated, approx 30.5"h, 14.5"w, 7"d; (1) matching wall bracket, tapered body with figural mask corner posts, terminating on pointed drop finial, approx 12"h, 17.5"w, 8.75"d; both with typical lifting and small losses to inlay and veneer, 31lbs total Provenance: acquired by consignor from a castle in the Loire Valley, France
