Sandy (Peggy Sandy, Taos Pueblo, New Mexico, 1918-2003), titled with additional artist's signature verso, sight: approx 6.5"h, 8.5"w, overall: approx 10 1/8"h, 12.25"w, 1.5lbs Note: Peggy Sandy (Taos Pueblo, New Mexico, 1918-2003) is represented at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian by three artworks. The Smithsonian also features works by the artist's husband, Percy "Kai-Sa" Tsisete Sandy (Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico, 1918-1974). According to the consignor, this painting was purchased at the Twentieth Century Store in Las Vegas, New Mexico in August 1997.
