Framed Prismacolor colored pencil drawing on Canson paper, "Texas Boots/ Southern Simplicity," by Morgan Platt (American, b.1999), titled with artist's resume attached verso, retaining 2015 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo "School Art Program" competition label verso, apparently unsigned, sight: approx 19.5"h, 14.25"w, overall: approx 31"h, 25.75"w, 10.5lbs Note: This drawing was auctioned at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 15, 2015 and exhibited at Hayloft Gallery in Houston from March 3rd to March 12th, 2015. As a student of Brazosport ISD, Morgan Platt won Best in Show in the Houston Rodeo's "School Art Program" competition this year, realizing $20,000 for this drawing at the accompanying auction.
