Large framed mixed media on canvas painting, "Transformation of the Deities," stretcher signed De Haven Solimon Chaffins (Laguna/ Zuni Pueblo, Virginia, 20th c.), sight: approx 84"h, 54"w, overall: approx 84.75"h, 55"w, 27lbs NOTE: Following her training at the Institute of American Indian Arts, Ms. Chaffins has risen to prominence through her large-scale paintings incorporating Pueblo iconography. "Rayon Daughter," a mural by the artist, was featured in the 2023-2024 exhibition, "Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery," at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City Provenance: consignor purchased directly from the artist in Santa Fe in 2003
