Rare framed "Revenge of the Jedi". Star Wars" advance teaser theatre poster, large paper affixed to cardboard reading "The next chapter in the, STAR WARS saga...Star Wars, Revenge of the Jedi, presented in 70mm and 6-channel Dolby stereophonic sound! World Premier Engagements Begin May 25th! Cooper Theatre, 960 South Colorado Blvd., Continental Hampden at I-25 Theatre", this was the third Star Wars movie created by George Lucas and was originally named "Revenge of the Jedi" but in December, 1982, Lucas changed its' name to "Return of the Jedi" and it was released on May 25, 1983, theaters with the advance original name posters were given the task to remove and replace them with the new title posters, thus many did not survive, this poster is from the Continental Theatre, Denver where a devastating fire destroyed its' lobby on July 11,1983, photos appearing in the Rocky Mountain News show workers rushing to salvage as much as they could, Condition : white paint splotch on left opposite "J", finish loss in white below text "Presented in 70mm....", poster approx. 60"h, 40"w, as framed 66"h, 40.5"w Reference: (1) Rocky Mountain News, Denver, July 12, 1983, pg 6; Internet; (2) https://cinematreasures.org/theaters/13718/; (3) https://www.starwarsmovieposter.com/posters/north-america/united-states/usa-revenge-jedi-advance-teaser-promotional-poster (this pictures the smaller 40" x 40" version); (4) "Star Wars Poster Book", Sansweet & Vilmur, numerous pages.
