French Louis XV style writing cabinet, Gervais-Maximilien-Eugene Durand (1839-1911), Paris, late 19th/ early 20th c., having shaped inset marble top with pierced gilt metal gallery, over matched veneer case with inlaid foliate marquetry, mounted with foliated scrolling ormolu, the case fitted with two small drawers, over sliding panel with inset gilt embossed writing surface, dual cabinet doors with interior shelving, on short cabriole legs, back of case blindstamped G.
