Spanish Colonial style wedding trunk on stand, Mexico, late 19th/ early 20th c., displaying dovetailed construction, exterior paint-decorated with geometric borders enclosing arrangements of flowers, birds in flight, open interior, stand with a single frieze drawer framed by spindled galleries, on turned legs, chest: approx 19"h, 33"w, 19"d, overall on stand: approx 45.75"h, 34.5"h, 20.5"w Provenance: through our consignor, from the collection of Marcia Bland Brown (San Miguel de Allende, Mexico/ Austin, Texas, 1940-2012)
