Japanese WWII Type 95 NCO Sword, believed to be pattern 7, likely mfg. in the second quarter of 1945. the blade measures from tip to the habaki 26.25”l, there is no fuller and no serial number or other markings on the blade or habaki, the unmarked tsuba is an oval form and is black painted steel, the fuji bears only the inspection mark of the Heijo factory, Jinsen Arsenal, near Inchon, Korea, the smooth wood handle is held by two screws and covered with brown wrapping cord, the kashira pommel is steel, the sword is housed in an unmarked wood scabbard with steel koiguchi and kojiri, throat and drag, the blade has cosmoline and does not have discernible nicks, the scabbard with paint loss.
