(lot of 2) Islamic Quran calligraphy items, including: (1) Quranic teaching tablet, Morocco, wood panel with polychrome-painted foliates, architectural pillars and mihrabs, with pierced hole for wall hanging, approx 14"h, 9 3/8"w; (1) Mughal style manuscript folio on paper, likely 20thc., one side with gouache scene of figures on the banks of a river, adjacent to figures in a gondola pulling a man out of the water below calligraphic inscription, signature at lower left, the reverse with Arabic Quranic inscription, encased in acrylic stand, overall: approx 12.25"h, 8"w, 2"d; 3.5lbs total Provenance: from a fine Houston estate
