(2 pieces) Chinese famille rose porcelain (one) tureen and (one) underplate, cover having gilt peach 'longevity' finial over rose medallion configuration, gilt ground with dense foliates and 'hundred antiques' motif, encircling scenes of vibrant birds amongst pomegranate trees, with dual gilt handles, octagonal underplate with motifs of Buddhist treasures, each with honorific Qianlong style mark underfoot, tureen: approx 7.75"h, 16"w, 10.25"d, underplate, approx 1 3/8"h, 14.5"w, 10 3/8"d, 14.5lbs total Provenance: from a fine Houston estate
