(lot) Spanish walnut cappilla display cabinet, housing paint-decorated gesso over wood religious santo figural group, 19th c., shaped case having urn-form finials at front corner posts, over black-lacquered columnar pilasters, sliding frontal glazed door opening to interior with red damask fabric-lined backsplash, and inlaid parquetry bottom panel, housing central large figure of Mare De Due De La Merce (Our Lady of Mercy), holding the Christ child, both with foliated silver (content unknown) crowns, the Virgin wearing 18kt gold (tested) and diamond earrings, cloaked in flowing white floral gown, with gold applique trim, standing atop parcel gilt shell-form, further rising on integral stepped plinth base, the base flanked by two supplicant figures with chained ankles, all figures with inset glass eyes, veneer with surface wear and small losses, lacking two finials, overall: approx 63.5"h, 37"w, 24.5"d
