Late Georgian period inlaid mahogany writing slope/ travel desk, early 19th c., exterior with contrasting parquetry and inlaid banding, flanked by gilt metal handles, hinged lid opening to pen and ink receptacles, retaining two glass inkwells, gilt-embossed leather writing surface, either side of surface lifting to reveal hidden interior storage, one side fitted with two small drawers, release of a pin along side panel reveals hidden drawer at the lower left side, approx 7 5/8"h, 18"w, 10"d, 11.5lbs
