Official Olympic Type 2 torch that bore the Olympic flame for the 1968 Summer Olympic games held in Mexico City, Mexico, October 12-17, 1968, likely an aluminum alloy, the grooved upper part with pierced lettering at the top reading "Mexico 68" twice around the rim, the handle wrapped in black leather, the base with vertical grooves, retaining a light braided string loop with the green, white and red colors of the Mexican flag, oxidation at the top interior, 17.75"l, 4.25" diameter, 2.15lbs
