(lot of 2) Framed engravings on paper, plates from "The Early Florentine School," published by William Young Ottley (British, 1771-1836), engraved by John Sartain (English-born American, 1808-1897), each marked "proof," including: (1) "Part of a painting in fresco in the 'Campo Santo' of Pisa," plate XLVII (47), after a drawing by David Pierre Giottino Humbert de Superville (Dutch, 1770-1849), copied after a fresco painting by Benozzo Gozzoli (Italian, c.1421-1497), published Feb. 1, 1825, London, (1) "Two Muses - painting in fresco in chiaro-scuro, in the Church of S. Maria Novella at Florence," plate LI (51), after a drawing by Tommaso Piroli (Italian, 1752-1824), copied after a fresco painting by Filippino Lippi (Italian, 1457-1504), published Sep. 1, 1826, London; some toning and foxing, sight: approx 12 1/8"h, 8.5"w, overall: 20.5"h, 18.5"w, 9.75lbs total
