Japanese Satsuma porcelain vase, moon flask form with gilt foo lion handles to either side of neck, both sides depicting scenes of the Buddhist rakan (arhats) on gilt over cream glaze ground, with raised enamel fine line patterning throughout, drillhole underfoot, approx 12.5"h, 9"w, 4 3/8"d, 5.5lbs Provenance: From the estate of Carl Carter (Texas, 1955-2023)
