Large Chinese earthenware planter, exterior in black slip with wrapped wire under protruding rim, the body with carved meander patterning and foo lions in relief, approx 14"h, 25"diam, 34.5lbs Provenance: Acquired by our consignor more than 30 years ago from a Nanluoguxiang hutong (Bejing) courtyard estate PLEASE NOTE: All of the cast stone and garden pieces in this auction have inherent flaws and evidence of outdoor use. Most are likely to have small chips, hairlines or imperfections. Please assume that they are not in perfect condition and bid accordingly.
