U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1896 Krag-Jorgensen Carbine, Sporterized, mfg. 1898, bolt action, .30-40 caliber, 22" barrel, fixed front sight, adjustable rear sight marked with 'C', marked at left receiver "U.S. Model 1898, Springfield, Armory, walnut stock accented with later mostly geometric carving, two sling swivels, two storage ports at butt, lacks butt plate, metal with some rugs and scratches, wood with same, action is good, bore bright, good rifling, SN 79288 ANTIQUE SN 79288
