(lot of 2) Books: Novels protesting the Spanish Colonial Government rule in the Philippines by Jose Rizal (Jose Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda, Philippines, (b.1861 Philippines, executed by the Spanish Filipino government for sedition, conspiracy and rebellion on December 30,1896), he is now considered a national hero, each book leather bound with gilt lettering, gilt page edges, and printed as a facsimile of the original Rizal manuscripts, c. 1960: (1) "Noli Me Tangere" (Touch Me Not), 1887, 465 numbered pages; (1) "El filibusterismo" (The Reign of Greed), 1891, 279 numbered pages, for shipping each book approx. 15"h, 9.5"w, 1.75"d, total of both 11.55lbs
