McAllister "New York Model" Magic Lantern, pat. 1886/1887, nickel plated with black bellows and black chimney, patent plates on chimney and burner fuel tank, overall nickel plating is excellent with some at top of fuel tank, McAllister name on top of lens that is also marked "Made in France," McAllister name at top of frame, bellows easily slide forward, housed in original tin box approx 9"h, 13.5"w, 5.5"d, 10.25lbs Note: ten slides of Damon and Pythias in this auction fit almost precisely in this magic lantern Provenance: Collection of Sam Westfall, Texas, Kansas including a huge quantity of antique cameras, magic lanterns, related advertising and many parts and pieces.
