Lot description
British pocket percussion pistol, 11mm caliber, foliate embellishment on metal parts, the 3.5" hexagonal barrel marked "London" at the top flat, the underside marked H&S with proof marks, ramrod, the lockplate marked "Lewis & Tomes", hardwood stock with checkering at butt, wood and metal with small scratching and light dents, action operates correctly, bore with straight rifling appears in good condition with light surface rust, overall length approx. 7.25" *Note: Lewis & Tomes operated as a retailer in New York City using that name from c.1819-1833 when their name was changed to Tomes & Miller.
