Civil War Union Cavalry Saber, likely imported during the war, 34.75" slightly curved blade having substantial foliate engraving and martial symbols including flags, drums, an eagle with the federal shield and "E Pluribus Unum", the opposite side with U.S., a three branch guard, the handle is mostly exposed wood and only a remnant of the leather and wire remain, sword overall 40.25"l, 2.10lbs
