French Egyptian Revival onyx and slate mantel clock, late 19th c., having figural patinated bronze topper modeled as a sphinx, with parcel gilt accents, over stepped case with incised birds and hieroglyphic motifs, fluted onyx side panels, flanking central gilt metal dial, with Arabic hour markers, time-and-strike movement marked S.
