Lot description
F. Reuther Animal Percussion Trap gun, c. ,1860, this example estimated to be about 40 caliber, the iron trap marked "Hartford: Conn" over "F. Reuthe's Patent", over "May 12, 1857", a rear rod with loop secures the trap to a stake or tree, the two 5" octagonal muzzle loaded barrels are set to fire with an underside lever, at the front are two arrow like barbed protrusions that held bait, when either of the barbs are tugged, one or both of the barrels fire, SN 1496, overall approx. 4"h, 18.5"w, 2.75"d, 3.05lbs Start Price: $300.00
