(lot of 2) German Mauser Model 98/38 rifle, bolt action, 7.92mm x 57 caliber, 24" barrel, ramp blade front sight, bayonet lug, cleaning rod, adjustable rear sight to 2000 meters, bolt take down disc, steel butt plate, markings include: C.A.I. import near muzzle at under side of barrel, "0129" on front barrel band, "BSW" (Berlin-Suhler Waffen und Fahrzuegerkeover) over "1938" on receiver ring, "970" on rear sight, left receiver ring, left receiver wall and bolt stop, Waffen marks on barrel behind rear sight, at both sides of receiver ring, floor plate and butt plate, "1726 " at least three places on bolt, "1786"over "d" at butt plate, "8696" at floor plate, hardwood stock with possibly period leather sling, floor plate marked '39094', together with (1) bayonet, ricasso marked "E.Pack & S, (made in Solingen), the opposite ricasso marked "7258 over "g" and "37" at spine, complete with metal scabbard and leather frog, rifle wood is light color and good with some scratches, metal with light scratching and rubs, action good, bore semi bright, pitting, good rifling, SN 970 *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER* Start Price: $300.00
