(lot of 40 volumes) British library shelf books, "Scott's Historical Romances," Walter Scott (Scottish, 1771-1832), bound in full red morocco, raised bands, gilt tooling on spine and boards, all edges gilt, inner gilt dentelles, Charles Gonne Ex Libris bookplate, various publishers and dates, volume 1 printed for Archibald Constable and Company, Edinburgh; and Hurst, Robinson, and Company, London, 1822, lacking volumes 13 and 38, (two) volumes numbered 11, (two) volumes numbered 12 (Pirates and Kenilworth), approx 6.75"l, 4.25"w; 30lbs total
