Lot description

French Gothic Revival bronze wall-mounted clock, late 19th c., having scrollwork finial over Gothic arches at top, bell with elaborate engravings of foliate, birds, and figure, bands of Latin text, likely excerpts from the lord's prayer, above lion mask, enamel dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, time-and-strike movement striking the bell at the top of the case, above pendulum engraved with crowned dragon, stamped on back plate of movement "Medaille d'or 1900, Samuel Marti", from the firm of Samuel Marti et Cie, Paris (1870-1890), likely foundry mark with the letter 'D' on back, illegible due to mounting bolt, approx 37"h, 16.5"w, 8", 42.25lbs Provenance: An important San Antonio estate Start Price: $600.00
