(lot of 4) African carved and painted wood masks, including: (1) warthog, Nunuma or Winiama peoples, Burkina Faso, approx 17"h, 8.5"w, 8"d; (1) human face with wide cheeks, carved fringe, natural hair for beard and moustache, remnants of white and black pigments, approx 8"h, 6.5"w, 3.75"d; (1) circular face mask, red and white pigment, in the style of a Kidumu, possibly of the Teke-Tsaye peoples, Democratic Republic of the Congo, approx 14"h, 12"w; (1) round Kifwebe mask, Luba peoples, Democratic Republic of the Congo, with incised concentric circles, remnants of white pigment, approx 7.75" diam; 6.5lbs total Provenance: From the collection of Mrs. Bettye Wellons, Austin, Texas Start Price: $80.00
