Lot description
U.S. Model 1887 knife mfg by Springfield Armory limited to 1056 produced, engraved panel at the 12" drop point blade "Hospital Corps, U.S. Army", a brass guard with bolster marked "1 with backward C", the grooved wood handle stamped '"29", leather and brass scabbard marked "Watervliet Arsenal" (U.S. Army, opened 1813, the oldest continually active arsenal in the U.S.) blade in good condition with some dark spots, engraving is very strong, knife overall: 16.5"l, knife with scabbard: 18"l, total: 1.30lbs Start Price: $300.00
