Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver, mfg.1863, .44 caliber, 8" round barrel, marked at the top "Address Col, Saml. Colt, New York, U.S. America", 'C' mark at right of wedge screw, the six round cylinder with naval battle scene and marked "Colts Patent No. 657, Pat Sept 10, 1850", and 'CC" with "W", a second "W" mark behind trigger guard, "D" on backstrap behind hammer, walnut grips with inspector rectangular cartouche, serial number matched at butt, trigger guard, frame, barrel lug, wedge and cylinder, SN 89657 *Note: The 'C' mark at left barrel near wedge screw indicates that the revolver did not pass the military inspection and was sent to the civilian market.
